Professionals and Assistants

Assistants who provide LSVT treatment must be certified in LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG. If you are an LSVT certified SLPA, PTA, or OTA, a supervising LSVT certified clinician of the same profession must participate in the care of a client receiving LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG treatment.

LSVT certified SLPs, PTs, and OTs must perform examinations and evaluations specific to LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG treatment and establish care plans and goals. LSVT certified therapists must regularly reassess each patient's progress and guide certified, therapy assistants according to the practice guidelines and regulations in your region. In you are practicing in the United States, please refer to your state practice act for information relating to the location of supervising therapists. LSVT Global does not distinguish the need for supervision either on-site, off-site, or direct for SLPAs, PTAs or OTAs certified in LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG.

Students

Students may administer LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG only if they have attended an LSVT Training and Certification course and successfully received a certificate of completion. In addition, the student must be under the direct supervision of an LSVT certified clinician in compliance with all state, federal, and prevailing insurance guidelines regarding supervision of students.
