LSVT Course Policies
LSVT Global policies and procedures establish compliance with principles of evidence-based practice underlying LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG for global treatment fidelity and efficacy. These policies and procedures apply only to LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG and are not intended to replace or supersede any of the guidelines or practice patterns published by the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or other professional speech, physical or occupational therapy organizations worldwide.
Course Attendance and Completion Policy
Participant Completion Policy for All Courses: Individual participation in the entire course is mandatory. Participants who do not fully complete all a course will not be eligible for certification, CEU credit, or a refund.
Participant Attendance Policy: Participation at the entire course is MANDATORY whether taken in-person, virtual live or online. Certification and CEU credit will not be awarded unless all portions of the training are fully completed.
Course Cancellation Policies
Participant Cancellation Policy: Courses purchased in error (for example, incorrect course or quantity) will be fully refunded only if LSVT Global is notified at info@lsvtglobal.com before printed course materials have been shipped and course has been accessed.
Online and Virtual Live Courses
- If the course has not been accessed, but the materials have already been shipped, a full refund of the course fee minus a $50 cancellation fee will be processed when the original materials are returned in their original condition. The course materials must be returned by the participant to LSVT Global within 30 days of receipt. LSVT Global will not process a refund until the returned materials have been received in our Tucson, AZ home office at 4720 North Oracle Road, Suite 100, Tucson, AZ, 85705. Return shipping of course materials are at the purchaser's expense.
- Purchases of any LSVT Online course will NOT be refunded if the participant has logged into the LearnUpon Learning Management System to begin the course.
- LSVT Global will not be liable for any claims of non-receipt of materials or products returned. To obtain a refund or exchange, the purchaser must provide a current e-mail address, billing address, phone number, and credit card number.
In-person Live or Virtual Live Courses
- LSVT Global reserves the right to cancel an In-person or Virtual Live LSVT BIG Training and Certification Course in the rare case of inadequate attendance or for other reasons, but will inform all registered participants via email, mail, or phone in as soon as the cancelation is confirmed.
- LSVT Global will refund any registered participants their full registration fee or offer them alternative course locations/dates if available or transfer to the online course.
- In the event a participant cancels registration or does not attend an in-person course, tuition will be refunded minus the following cancellation fees: $50.00 cancellation any time after registration and up to 2 weeks prior to the course date or transfer fee to change to a different course or online course. $100.00 cancellation fee within 2 weeks prior to the course date.
Professional Designation Policies
- By registering for a given course, you are confirming you meet the requirements for the profession chosen at the time of registration.
- The Online and Live LSVT LOUD Training and Certification Courses are only open to professionals and students in the profession of speech-language pathology (speech-language therapy in select countries). This includes both speech language pathologists and speech language pathology assistants.
- The Online and Live LSVT BIG Training and Certification Courses are only open to those with college/university degrees as Physical Therapists/Physiotherapists (PT), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapists (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) and students enrolled in these professional programs at a college/university level. Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Aides or Techs or Allied Health Assistants are not eligible for LSVT BIG Certification and may not participate in the delivery of LSVT BIG.
- Not all countries have SLPAs, PTAs or OTAs. SLPAs, PTAs and OTAs should have professional associate degrees of at least 2 years. It is at the discretion of LSVT Global to determine if similar degrees in countries outside of the USA are eligible for LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG Certification.
- The LOUD for LIFE Training Course, LSVT LOUD Certification Renewal Course, and LSVT LOUD in Pediatrics course are only open to LSVT LOUD Certified Clinicians.
- The BIG for LIFE Training Course, LSVT BIG Certification Renewal Course, only open to LSVT BIG Certified Clinicians.
