LSVT Course Policies
LSVT Global policies and procedures establish compliance with principles of evidence-based practice underlying LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG for global treatment fidelity and efficacy. These policies and procedures apply only to LSVT LOUD and LSVT BIG and are not intended to replace or supersede any of the guidelines or practice patterns published by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or other professional speech, physical or occupational therapy organizations worldwide.
Course Attendance and Completion Policy
Participant Completion Policy for All Courses: Individual participation in the entire course is mandatory. Participants who do not fully complete a course will not be eligible for certification, CEU credit, or a refund.
Participant Attendance Policy: Participation in the entire course is MANDATORY whether taken in-person, virtual live or online. Certification and continuing education credit will not be awarded unless all portions of the training are fully completed.
Course Extensions: After a participant registers and is enrolled in a course, they will have 60 days to complete the training and exam. A one time, complementary 30-day extension can requested by emailing LSVT Global at info@lsvtglobal.com. Additional course completion time (beyond the initial 30-day extension) can optionally be purchased at the following rates:
30 days - $30.00
60 days - $45.00
90 days - $55.00
Course Cancellation and Refund Policies
Participant Cancellation Policies: Purchasing made in error (example: incorrect course or
quantity) will be fully refunded only if LSVT Global receives written notice within 72 hours of purchase. Notification is sent to: info@lsvtglobal.com. Refunds will not be issued once the participant has accessed the course in the Learning Management System (LMS).
If the course has not been accessed: A full refund of the course fee will be issued, minus a $50 cancellation fee for courses greater than 3 hours, or a $25 fee for courses 3 hours or less. To obtain a refund or exchange, the purchaser must provide an e-mail address, billing address, phone number, and credit card details.
If printed course materials were shipped, they must be returned in their original unopened condition within 30 days of receipt. Refunds will not be processed until the returned materials are received at to LSVT Global, Inc 4720 North Oracle Road, Suite 100, Tucson, AZ, 85705. The purchaser is responsible for return shipping costs. LSVT Global is not responsible for items lost or undelivered and will not honor claims of non-receipt.
Participants who wish to transfer to a different online, virtual live, or in-person course before accessing their course in the LMS may do so for a $50 transfer fee. In the case of documented emergencies or rare circumstances that prevent course completion, participants should contact training@lsvtglobal.com to discuss available options, if any.
LSVT Global Cancellation Policies for In-person Live or Virtual Live Courses:
LSVT Global reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any in-person or virtual live course due to low enrollment, unforeseen circumstances, or other reasons. Participants will be notified via email, mail, or phone as soon as the
possible.
LSVT Global will provide participants a choice of refund of their registration fee, transfer to an alternative course date (if available), or enrollment in the Online Training and Certification course. LSVT Global assumes no responsibility for any expenses incurred by participants as a result of cancellations, including travel or lodging costs.
Professional Designation Policies
By registering for a given course, you are confirming you meet the requirements for the profession chosen at the time of registration.
The LSVT LOUD Training and Certification Courses are only open to professionals and students in the profession of speech-language pathology (speech-language therapy in select countries). This includes both speech language pathologists and speech language pathology assistants. Allied Health Assistants are not eligible for LSVT LOUD Certification and may not participate in the delivery of LSVT LOUD.
The LSVT BIG Training and Certification Courses are only open to those with college/university degrees as Physical Therapists/Physiotherapists (PT), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapists (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) and students enrolled in these professional programs at a college/university level. Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Aides or Techs or Allied Health Assistants are not eligible for LSVT BIG Certification and may not participate in the delivery of LSVT BIG.
Not all countries have SLPAs, PTAs or OTAs. SLPAs, PTAs, and OTAs should have professional associate degrees of at least 2 years. It is at the discretion of LSVT Global to determine if similar degrees in countries outside of the USA are eligible for LSVT LOUD or LSVT BIG certification.
The LOUD for LIFE Training Course and LSVT LOUD Certification Renewal Course,are only open to LSVT LOUD Certified Clinicians.
The BIG for LIFE Training Course and LSVT BIG Certification Renewal Course are only open to LSVT BIG Certified Clinicians.
Policy Regarding ADA Accessible Learning Environments
