The BIG for LIFE® Online Training Course provides LSVT BIG® Certified Clinicians with the tools and knowledge needed to start and run post-discharge BIG for LIFE exercise classes in their communities for people who have completed LSVT BIG treatment.
The research-based rationale for community-based exercise for people with Parkinson disease will be reviewed, along with information on how to structure and design BIG for LIFE classes tailored for a variety of individuals. Ethical and legal considerations as well as marketing strategies will be discussed.
Teaching methods include pre-recorded lecture with PowerPoint slides and video demonstrations.
Course enrollment includes:
- 60-day access to the online course
- Downloadable BIG for LIFE training materials, handouts, and resources.
- BIG for LIFE designation upon successful completion of course and exam.
- Invitation to the private BIG for LIFE Facebook Group.

Steps to become a BIG for LIFE Provider
- You must first be currently certified in LSVT BIG.
- After registration, you will receive an email with instructions on accessing your course in LearnUpon, our learning management system. You will not access the course from the LSVT Global Store.
- Complete the entire BIG for LIFE Online Training Course within 60 days from registration.
- Take the BIG for LIFE exam online, with a minimum 80% score to pass. Retakes of the exam are available at no additional cost.
- Update/review your contact information and organization that are displayed in the LSVT Clinician Directory. An additional designation as a BIG for LIFE provider will be added to your profile.
