The In-Person LSVT BIG Training and Certification Course is a mix of online, pre-recorded learning and in-person interactive learning designed to train physical and occupational therapy professionals and students in an evidence-based, intensive, treatment program for individuals with Parkinson's disease. The fundamental treatment principles and rationale, key treatment elements, efficacy data supporting treatment outcomes, details of treatment tasks, and practical delivery will be covered. Teaching techniques include both live and pre-recorded lecture, live and video demonstrations, live instructor led exercise practice, live Q & A, and case study presentations. Discussion will be included on application to other neural disorders and personalization of the treatment to meet the unique functional goals of each patient.
Course Length: 15 hours
Course Schedule:
- August 25 – September 19, 2024: Complete 3 hours of pre-recorded online content
- September 20, 2024: Day 1 In-Person - 9:00 AM to 4:45 PM Central Time
- September 21, 2024: Day 2 In-Person - 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Central Time
- September 21 – October 6, 2024: Complete final exam

Audience: Physical and Occupational Therapists, Physical and Occupational Therapy Assistants, Oefentherapeuten, and students enrolled in those programs. *LSVT BIG treatment provided by LSVT Certified students must be delivered under the direction of LSVT BIG Certified Clinician of their same profession.

Steps to Certification
- Read and accept the LSVT Clinician Practice Agreement, which will be emailed to you upon registration.
- Complete the entire LSVT BIG Training and Certification Course.
- Complete the 50 multiple choice question online LSVT BIG Certification Exam with an 84% score required to pass. Retakes of the exam are available at no additional cost.
